Your students may be looking at their future career options and a career in care could provide them an opportunity to work in a growing sector that makes a genuine difference to people's lives.
The Social Care Academy is a partnership between Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, the local Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System and Skills for Care. It aims to provide information on a career in care, along with access to our learning portal to build on existing skills and learn new skills.
How to get started?
Throughout the site there is a wealth of information on starting a career in care. If students are looking to start their career in care within the next 6 months and are aged 16 or older, they can sign up to the learning portal to gain new skills.
If they aged 13 or older, they can undertake virtual work experience.
